After I had finished school, I decided to work as a volunteer in a school for one year.
My area of responsibility was sports. I accompanied teachers, took on responsibility for children, carried out a project and went to seminars where I learned how to prepare a good and professional sports lesson.
But these are just a few things I did during that year.
I was constantly supported by my voluntary organization and especially by my colleagues who where always very grateful to me which made me feel comfortable.
And even though I worked 39 hours a week for little money, I can definitely say that it was one of the best decisions I ever made because I’ve learned so much for my life, I became more self-confident and independent.
All in all, I would really recommend doing a voluntary year to everybody.
